Aichi man arrested for sexually assaulting high school girl
IWAKURA, Aichi -- A man has been arrested for molesting a 16-year-old high school girl here, police said.
Yasuchika Fukunaga, 33, from Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture, is accused of indecent assault. He admitted to the allegations during questioning.
The victim, a second-year high school student living in Ichinomiya, was cycling home at around 11:25 p.m. on Friday when Fukunaga approached her and forced her to get off her bicycle, local police said. He then forcibly took her into a nearby vacant lot, hit her in the face, and groped her, according to investigators.
A 25-year-old junior high school teacher living nearby, who heard her crying for help, rushed to the scene and overpowered Fukunaga.
